Centro de Investigação em Energia REN - State Grid, S.A. (R&D NESTER), an entity 50% owned by the REN Group, was established in May 2013 with the goal of creating a global and independent R&D centre, with a multicultural DNA and a long run strategic thinking, innovating for a smart, clean, efficient and sustainable energy system.

Our mission:

  • Provide an international platform for knowledge, delivering innovative solutions, approaches and methods to be applied into energy systems.
  • Provide new tools, strategies and processes, well-tuned to the new energy paradigm, and serving as a driving force towards more efficient and sustainable energy systems.
