Delegation from State Grid Corporation of China visits R&D Nester
On 16 February, a delegation from State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC) met with the Board of R&D Nester, also visiting the Laboratory of REN and State Grid's R&D Centre, R&D Nester, which, since this past January, is a part of the Smart Grid Laboratories Inventory 2016, of the European Commission.
The following day, REN and SGCC promoted a meeting dedicated to the integration of renewable energies in the electrical system, which R&D Nester also attended. This forum, dedicated to the global goals of clean energy, brought together important national and international contributions from representatives of network operators, market makers and academia.
The relevance of the experience and the recognized general agreement regarding the success of the process of integrating renewable energies in the National Electrical System are at the basis of this event's organization, on the occasion of the visit of the Chairman of SGCC, Shu Yinbao, to Portugal.
This initiative is yet another demonstration of the strategic partnership established with SGCC, which leads to close cooperation between the two companies, both in terms of experience sharing and in research and development, via the work carried out by R&D Nester.
