“Flexibility Solutions Event - 2nd ed.”: webinar presents latest results of the INTERRFACE Project
In the
scope of INTERRFACE project in which R&D Nester and REN participate, the
second edition of INTERRFACE Annual Flexibility Solutions Webinar took
place on February 25th where the latest results of the project were
presented to the public. Representatives of the European Commission, BRIDGE and
other Horizon2020 projects were also invited to disseminate and discuss topics
related to flexibility and consumer engagement.
The webinar
focused on exploring how new solutions can help consumers integrate into the
energy system by unlocking their potential flexibility capabilities. It was
approached as the central development of INTERRFACE, the IEGSA (Interoperable
pan-European Grid Services Architecture) platform and how it can serve as a
link for consumers and other approaches from Horizon2020 projects such as
Interconnect, OneNET (where R&D Nester and REN also participate) and HESTIA
were also dissected.
Finally, it was also discussed the consumers' view of their role in the new world of electricity services and how their growing involvement should be addressed.

INTERRFACE project - "TSO-DSO Consumer
INTERFACE aRchitecture to provide innovative grid services for an efficient
power system" (http://www.interrface.eu/)
is funded by the European Union under the H2020 programme and aims to design,
develop and explore the interoperability of a pan-European network services
architecture to act as an interface between the power system (TSO and DSO) and
customers, and will allow the integrated and coordinated operation of all
stakeholders, for the use and acquisition of common services.
