Wind Power Forecasting with Machine Learning - R&D NESTER in ICREPQ’22

The 20th International Conference on Renewable Energy and Power Quality (ICREPQ'22) goal is to give an opportunity to academics, scientists, engineers, manufacturers and users from all over the world to come together in a pleasant location to discuss physically recent development in the areas of Renewable Energies and Power Quality.

This event was a mix of present and online participation. The face-to-face event took place at the University Campus of Vigo.

The key points of the agenda of this year event were plenary speeches regarding topics such as the Hydrogen and Electromagnetic compatibility.

R&D Nester was author of a paper presented in this event, entitled "Wind Power Forecasting with Machine Learning: Single and combined methods".

This Paper was produced in the scope of WindForecasting Project developed by R&D Nester. This project WindForecasting main objectives are:

  • Analysis of the Multi-source Heterogeneous Data for Wind Power Forecasting and Abnormal Data Processing Methods.
  • Study on Data Fusion Technology and Short-term Wind Power Forecasting Method Based on the Multi-source Heterogeneous Data.
  • Exploration on the Ensemble Learning Method for Improving the Accuracy and Robustness of the Short-term Wind Power Forecasting.
