Nester in RTE’s R&D Days 2013
The energy research centre of REN/State Grid participated in R&D Days promoted by RTE, the electricity transmission operator in France.
The event took place on 8 and 9 October, and the participation of R&D Nester, according to the Director of Nester R&D, Nuno de Souza e Silva, is of enormous importance for the development of a network of contacts and cooperation in the area of Innovation and R&D, both nationally and internationally. "These contacts enable the sharing of experiences on best practices in Innovation Management and R&D. Additionally, provides the identification of common areas of interest in the fields of Innovation and R&D and establishing bridges to set participation in future projects."
At the meeting which brought together several TSO's in Europe, with a view to favour the emergence of new partnerships and to enable TSOs to address the challenges associated with the energy transition, RTE exhaustively described its research program on a French and a European level. During two days, conferences and round tables sequences took place, with internal and external speakers, on diverse subjects such as Smartgrids, asset management, environment, future components and infrastructures, or tools and methods to manage electric power systems.
